Cheltenham Festival

We mainly concentrate on the Grand National horse race but the Cheltenham Festival always grabs our interest. This year is set to be an epic meet with the Gold Cup battle between Denman and Kauto star looking like classic in the making.

The festival is four days and features many horse that will run in the 2010 Grand National. The festival is too big to cover here in detail, so I will point you in the direction of our sister website Cheltenham Race Festival, give it a visit for all the latest odds, runners and tips.

Bangor-On-Dee

I’m heading off to the stunning Bangor-On-Dee (National Hunt Course) today in the hope of grabbing a few quality photos of AP McCoy and last years Grand National winning jockey Liam Treadwell. Both will be in action over the hurdles, interestingly AP is also riding in a ‘Bumper’.

Any good photos will make it onto my flickr photo profile it’s a mash up of all my photos, including many horse racing ones. The photo in the post was taken during my last visit to Bangor, it’s a great course for photographers to get racing shots on, it’s always fairly quiet and the jumps are well placed to easily accessible parts of the course to the general public.

We custom designed two horse racing themes because we couldn’t find any good quality themes for horse racing websites like ours. As were feeling generous we decided to make the themes freely available to anyone who wants to use them. The two versions work with the latest updates of the WordPress blogging software (2.8.x). Each theme contains one link to our main sponsor ~ you can remove this link, but if you do a little angel in heaven will die!
